In English, this is mainly called imperative sentences. Imperative sentences could be an order, a request or a command.

For example:

Let’s go = Andiamo!

There are even two ways of saying “Excuse Me”. The ways are:

By using ‘scusa’ for addressing informally and by using ‘scisi’ for addressing formally

General commands are also expressed in the infinitive form such as:

  1. Pull = Tirare
  2. Push = Spingere

Also another point to be noted is that pronouns do get attached to ends of the imperatives to form a word,

E.g.

  1. Ripetilo, per favore. = Repeat it, please.
  2. Leggimelo = Read me it.

With imperatives with only a single syllable, like fa', da', di', sta', the very first non-vowel of pronouns are to be doubled ("gli" doesn’t abide this), e.g.

  1. Dimmi! = Tell me!
  2. Stacci = Stay there
  3. Dammelo! = Give me it!
  4. Diglielo = Tell it to him!
